Law Offices of Nett & Nett, PC (2001)

Nett-Gross Group's origins begin in early 2001 with the launch of the Law Offices of Nett & Nett, PC, a Professional Law Corporation specializing in Business, Real Estate, Construction & Estate Planning and Succession Law.  It was within this law firm that Co-Founder & CEO, Kevin P. Nett, Esq. began his in depth legal education in the field of complex Business, Real estate (including Mortgage Banking) and Construction Law.  Further, Mr. Nett’s law partner and wife, Co-Founder & CFO, Amy K. Nett, Esq., began her in depth legal education culminating in a specialization in the realm of Estate Planning/Succession and Probate law – thereby gaining a vast accumulation of knowledge relating to real estate and mortgage transactions through Probate Court.  In the sixteen (16+) years of performing legal services, the Law Offices of Nett & Nett, PC have diligently and professionally performed the same for well over four thousand (4,000) clients both corporate and individual.

Nett-Gross Group (2006)

The next phase of Nett-Gross Group’s origins came in 2006 with the Launch of Nett-Gross Group, a Professional Real Estate Brokerage.  Deep within the heart of the greatest recession the US has ever faced, Kevin P. Nett, Esq. was met with a barrage of legal and practical questions and challenges facing clients of the Law Offices of Nett & Nett, PC, with regards to their rapidly declining real estate values, terminated home equity lines and failing mortgages. In response, Mr. Nett dedicated himself to learning as much about the real estate and mortgage industry as possible - from the inside-out.  First, Kevin P. Nett, Esq. studied and obtained his CA real estate broker license.  Second, Mr. Nett founded Nett-Gross Group, a CA real estate corporation and began the process of auditing every real estate and mortgage banking transactional document he could get his hands on.  Study and application became the mantra of Mr. Nett and, through the recession, Mr. Nett was able to assist clients in navigating all of their real estate options.

As any broker can attest, the education one receives and is required to obtain to pass the CA broker examination lends particular insight to the broker with regards to real estate and mortgage transactions.  Conversely, as any real estate lawyer can attest, attending law school and subsequently practicing Real Estate Law lends a superior professional perspective regarding real estate and mortgage transactions few real estate brokers without a law degree can compete. Combined, simultaneous expertise in these two professional fields alone is hardly paralleled.

Mr. Nett’s responsibilities for Nett-Gross Group include aligning the company, internally and externally, with Nett-Gross Group’s strategic vision. Mr. Nett’s core duty is to facilitate business outside of the company while guiding employees and other executive officers towards Nett-Gross Group’s central objective – the success and growth of its clients.

Aven Construction (2008)

The next phase of Nett-Gross Group’s origins came in 2008 with the Launch of Aven Construction, a California Construction Corporation. In 2008, Mr. Nett acquired his California Class B General Contractor’s License and founded Aven Construction, Inc. (Now “Nett-Gross Group”)  Mr. Nett now focuses, on behalf of Nett-Gross Group, construction consulting in connection with transactions coordinated under Nett-Gross Group. Mr. Nett’s responsibilities includes all aspects of administration, finance and construction management and has personally completed several construction projects with such companies as I & G Direct and Sares-Regis.

NGG Financial (2013)

The next phase of Nett-Gross Group’s origins came in 2013 with Kevin P. Nett, Esq.'s acquisition of a Federal and State Mortgage Loan Originator License. In 2010, after considerable pressure from clients of The Law Offices of Nett & Nett, PC and those of Nett-Gross Group, Mr. Nett studied for and acquired his now since dormant (inactive) Mortgage Loan Originator License.  While the law permitted Mr. Nett the ability to negotiate loans under both his law and real estate broker license, Mr. Nett wanted the trifecta - the knowledge of banking from the legal, real estate and mortgage banking perspective. Knowledge gained is power gained for clients of Mr. Nett. As these tensions eased, Mr. Nett sold his interest in NGG Financial to his brother, and Pepperdine MBA graduate, Jeff M. Nett, who currently serves as CEO of the same (www.nggfinancial.com). NGG Financial is widely regarded as THE mortgage company of today and the future.

California State Controller Office Probate Referee (2022)

Kevin P. Nett, Esq., was appointed as a California State Controller and Riverside County Superior Court Probate Referee in 2022. Although a Probate Referee’s appraisal is required for probate, small estate petitions, conservatorships, and guardianship matters filed with the courts, the Probate Referee can also assist the trustees in non-probate trust matters. Probate code section 16247 specifically allows Probate Referees to provide values in trust matters which are necessary for purposes of distribution, sale of assets, tax filings or general trust valuations. Using an independent Probate Referee for such matters helps relieve the Trustee of potential conflicts of interest or liability for errors.

Probate Referees have served the courts, attorneys and the public for over 60 years. The Probate Referee is an Officer of the Court appointed by the California State Controller. Before appointment the Probate Referee must pass a state administered test on probate and appraisal principles plus he is required to attend annual continuing education classes on the valuation process. Probate Referees values are widely accepted by judges and the IRS as fair, accurate and impartial values. The California Probate Referees Association of over 120 Referees in 58 California counties provides a unique network of local experts for all asset valuation assignments.

Certified Probate & Trust Specialist California Association of Realtors (2023)

The most recent phase of Nett-Gross Group is a concentration of continued education of the markets and the accumulation of California Association of Realtor Specialist Certifications. Having formerly obtained a Certified Specialty in Property Management, Kevin P. Nett, Esq. has now obtained another certification as a Certified Probate & Trust Specialist.
